When Little Kitties Become Big Fat Cats: An Owner's Blog

I just stumbled on this very funny cat owner's lament about discovering, via a vet visit, that her tiny kitty Lily has become, well, an overstuffed pillow.

{I}mages of an embarrassing, tell-it-all documentary keep flashing through my brain. Something along the lines of Supersize Me, the Feline Edition. Maybe I’ll rename her Morgan Spurlock and send her out on a media tour. Of course, I am the bad guy in this situation, to be sternly reprimanded and forced to enroll in remedial pet nutrition courses.

Good for her, though, for blogging about it, and good, too, that her vet has told her that it may be a long haul.  I actually am in awe of Owners of Overweight Indoor Cats in A Multi-cat Family who actually get their cats to slim down.  You've got limited (but not impossible) opportunities for exercise, and then there's the other damned cat (s). Yours is a hard, furry, kibble-strewn road to walk, you owners, and you have my respect.
