This New York Times article about a couple moving into a spectacular apartment in Long Island City, Queens, is also about the very careful CAT training that made it all possible.
Off limits in the living room are the jute rug, the tan microsuede sofa and the caramel-colored leather armchair that Mr. Anvari favors. Nermal is allowed to crawl onto the matching armchair, the one Ms. Unkov regards as hers.
In the kitchen, Nermal sits on a chair atop a pillowcase that is easily laundered. The second bedroom is known as “Nermal’s bedroom,” and he sleeps there at night, burrowing for warmth under the heavy white comforter. Nermal knows he is not allowed in the master bedroom, although he sometimes stands in the doorway and stares at the room longingly.
Amazing. Congrats, Nermal and family!
